Located in Western North Carolina, Far Corners Photography is truly a collaborative creation.
Husband and wife, Jacob Painter and Ciara Lantz-Painter met while studying at Appalachian State University. The two immediately knew they wanted to start their own business. Jacob is passionate about entrepreneurship and local business, as Ciara is about photography and designing. It simply seemed natural that they would find something that would interweave both their passions and strengths. In 2018, the vision for Far Corners came to fruition.
Far Corners pays tribute to both Ciara’s creative process and her unique childhood growing up in Rincón, Puerto Rico. A popular destination spot, Rincón is known all over the world for its surfing and pristine beaches. It was on her corner of the island where she discovered a love for photography, leading her to the mainland. Almost by a happy accident, Rincón means “corner” or “nook” — exactly the spot Ciara finds herself most often to capture unforgettable shots.
Ciara’s background in commercial photography has enabled her to capture the unique spirit of every home and building, no matter how large or small — even if it means backing way into a corner just to get the perfect shot. As Ciara might be the face behind the camera, Jacob is the one directly up front.
